This is our first time trying, so I bought an early result test. I took the first one on Monday (10/15) and it was negative. I took another on Friday (10/19), still negative. When nothing happened over the weekend, I tested again on Monday, NEGATIVE! I was getting so frustrated with this waiting game! For whatever reason, I had a feeling on Tuesday morning so I tested before Matt left for work and there was a VERY FAINT blue line. I set it on the counter and asked him to look just to make sure I wasn't imaging things. He leaned over and said, "Well, it looks like your preggo!" We were both in disbelief and weren't sure about the line being so faint...so we said we would wait and see. I started reading online about "faint lines" and they all said that any shade of a blue line meant positive, but to try taking a pink line test. I didn't want to wait around wondering, so I just called my Drs office. The nurse said to get a name brand test, and maybe even digital so that there's no question. I had to run an errand for work, so I stopped at CVS while I was out. I just couldn't wait and I definitely didn't want to test at work in case I screamed, so I tested at CVS! With the digital test, there is a little hour glass that blinks while it's testing and it felt like it was blinking for 30 minutes when it finally popped up and said "PREGNANT".
I took about 10 pictures of it before putting it in my purse and calling Matt. No answer. I called his desk, no answer. So then I text him, "Call me call me call me call me". He was at lunch so he could only text, and I couldn't wait until lunch was over. So this is what transpired...
Matt was leaving for Colorado and my mom was coming to babysit me, so I had to tell her. There was no way I could hide it. I figured out my plan as I was driving home. My mom loves plants, so I thought if I bought her a little plant and put the test inside of it, she would be able to keep the plant and watch it grow, just like our JuneBug :)
As you can see, she was thrilled :)
